Dr. Jenna’s main goal is for all of her patients to feel stronger (both physically and mentally) in order to become more resilient individuals. Resilience is built by overcoming adversity, no matter if that pertains to pain, weakness, lack of mobility, urinary leakage, etc. Schedule an appointment with Dr. Jenna so she can help you overcome your obstacles, achieve your goals, and get you back to doing the activities that are important to you!

Courtney Thobe, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Courtney Thobe joined Building Resilience in 2023. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2014. Since then, she has specialized in pain relief, orthopedics, vestibular rehabilitation, and sports medicine. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Courtney works as an adjunct instructor at the University of Findlay in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Dr. Courtney has completed additional training in Integrative Dry Needling, various balance and vestibular disorders including Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), Meniere’s disease, Post-Concussive Syndrome, migraines, dizziness, and fall risk assessment/prevention.

Dr. Courtney currently lives in Ottawa with her husband, Zack, and 3 kids. While committed to her own personal fitness, she recognizes the importance of balancing a healthy lifestyle with flexibility. She believes that when you give yourself permission to enjoy and celebrate the healthy choices you are making, incredible things happen.

Dr. Courtney’s goal is to increase awareness of the many benefits of PT and our bodies’ incredible ability to heal itself by placing it in the right environment, under the right conditions. She enjoys combining manual therapy with functional movement in order to reduce pain, improve strength, and restore patients’ ability to do both the things they need to do and the things they want to do. Schedule an appointment with Dr. Courtney for an individualized treatment plan geared towards YOUR needs, wants, and goals!

Why choose Building Resilience PT?

We take great pride in our ability to treat you as a whole person. You are more than just a body part, symptom, or diagnosis. Many of you have probably been to other providers and have not felt “heard.” We promise that will NOT be the case when you are under our care.

As “out of network” providers, we are able to treat any musculoskeletal issues that you experience without having to worry about insurance limitations or restrictions affecting the quality of your care. This allows us the freedom to provide you with whatever treatments we believe may be beneficial for you, not your insurance company. You actually don’t even need a prescription from a doctor to come see us in the state of Ohio.

There are no hidden or unexpected costs with our fee schedules. We will not waste your time and money by having you do things you could easily be doing at home. This means your frequency of visits will be less than a traditional PT clinic. Don’t worry, we will educate you on what you need to be doing outside of your sessions with us. Our goal is to get you better faster (in as few sessions as possible). If we aren’t seeing the progress we would expect, we will NOT continue to drag out your plan of care. Instead, we will gladly provide recommendations for what we would do if we were in your shoes. We have plenty of wonderful referral sources that we trust and rely on. We would never send you to anyone we wouldn’t personally go to ourselves.

At Building Resilience, you’ll receive one on one individualized care, ALWAYS. You will NOT be tossed around from one therapist to the next, where you have to repeat your story every time you walk in the door. Your plan of care will match up with YOUR wants, needs, and goals. We want to help you get back to doing the things that are important to YOU, as quickly and safely as possible. The recovery and rehabilitation process is not ideal for anyone, but we strive to make your PT experience as enjoyable as possible. We value you and we promise to treat you like family when you walk through our doors.
